šŸ“š Learn the 13.24b Meta!

Itā€™s a new patch, which means that thereā€™s lots to learn to stay up to date with the TFT meta. With Riot going on a holiday break, weā€™ll be living on 13.24b for an extra few weeks (Itā€™s also called 13.25). Here are some of the best curated resources to help you get started on the patch.

Still feel like youā€™re missing something? Here are the 7 most played compositions this patch in Diamond+.

(Hint: Weā€™re playing a lot of Ahri in these parts of town)

Professional TFT player SpicyAppies gave us his rundown on the state of the 13.24b meta below.

ā

AD Flex is taking the ladder by storm with Ezreal and Caitlyn being two of the strongest units to flex around on level 8. AP is dominated by Ahri, but Twisted Fate can cap very high from the right spot. Heartsteel can swing games by teching in the synergy in the late game for some big cash outs.

šŸ§‘ā€šŸ« Tip of the Week: Edgelord Positioning

TFT pro Kovenel dropped a knowledge bomb this week. Did you know that you can force your Edgelords to target specific units?

By utilizing the 2nd row, you can trick Melee carries into selecting the ā€œclosest targetā€ when the fight begins. When the unit walks into the blank hex in front of them, they will first check to see if the target they initially selected is there. If it is, theyā€™ll attack that unit (Vi) instead of the one next to it (Pantheon).

This tech can make a huge difference in fights where you want your Edgelords to kill weak frontline first in order to proc the Pentakill attack speed buff, or in fights where you want units like Qiyana to target a specific tank.

Quick note - Yone is 1.5 hexes from Vi, and 2 hexes from Pantheon. You can visualize this by looking at the direct line between Yone and Vi (1.5 Hex) and the full hex between Yone and Pantheon (2 Hex).

šŸšØMilala Wins the Vegas Open

Milala won the Vegas Open, but he wasnā€™t the only one. The big winner from the Vegas open was TFT.

Due to the game coming out in June of 2019, there has never been a competition of this magnitude in front of a live audience. Whether you were there in person or watching online, you know that this was the best finals ever.

The checkmate finals almost ended in 4 games with Broccoli losing out to the best Yone in TFT history. The Jazz was silenced in game 5 when Ashemoo couldnā€™t out cap the peopleā€™s champ, Lab Member, Humbug.

Game 6 brought the unexpected. In a game where 6 people could take the belt, Annie went to school. Taking Learning to Spell, one of the worst augments statistically at the time, Milala proved everyone wrong and piloted a one cost reroll to a $100,000 grand prize.

Riot Sherman, the Global Head of TFT, said the following:

ā€œThe TFT Vegas Open lived up to every dream we had for it, and at the end of the day, thats because players made it the most amazing weekend of TFT ever.ā€

Honestly, you should just watch the finals. Itā€™s worth it.

Set 9 AVP: 4.59
Set 9 Top 4 Rate: 51%
Set 9 1st/8th Rate: 28%

Milala broke out in TFT in Set 7 with a standout set performance in Set 8 where he placed in the final lobby in 3 separate events. Unfortunately, he was never able to close out these events, giving him a reputation as a choker. However, everything changed at the Vegas Open where Milala clutched up in Day 3 and made a come-from-behind checkmate victory on the day.

DARK TECH
šŸ˜ˆ Jax Reroll

Jax Reroll is the hottest new sample breaking out in TFT patch 13.24.

After buffs to EDM, Mosher, Jaxā€™s sample frequency, and Jax already being a strong unit in the previous patch, the stage was set for a star to be born (too many music puns?).

If you get offered EDM Jax headliner, click it, build Jeweled Gauntlet, Hand of Justice, and either Edge of Night, Titans Resolve, or QSS, and have fun running over boards to a free first. Mosher Jax isnā€™t as strong as EDM, but still certainly clickable.
